Where did you grow up? What was it like?
I grew up in St. Louis Park, MN and graduated from high school there. I attended St. Cloud State University and after the military I lived in the country in Dakota County. I have a bunch of brothers and sisters, played hockey and life was good.

Why do you live in the Hayward Lakes Area? What do you like most about it?
We purchased our cottage on Red Cedar Lake in the mid 80's and moved up here 13 years ago. I always thought I'd retire at the Lake, but decided to live here before that time comes. I enjoy the tranquility of the lake, all the nature and woods.

What is your favorite lake? Why?
I have been to a lot of our lakes in this area and they are all really great, but the 3 lake chain of Red Cedar gives us so much area to see. For it's size and the number of lake homes it, Red Cedar remains rather quiet. Balsam Lake to the North is like an undeveloped lake with a lot of natural shoreline.

What is your favorite part of working in Real Estate?
I really enjoy meeting people, helping them purchase or sell their home. Being that I love the water, I really enjoy that side of our business. I have been involved with new construction sales for many years and that helps me to help them.

What is the most unusual thing you have encountered while working in Real Estate?
Many years ago I had a new spec home for sale. I had an appointment to show a couple the home in the early evening. We toured the home and went into the last bedroom. Opened the closet, and out jumped a homeless teenager! The lady screamed, I jumped back. We talked with the boy, his parents had locked him out and he said he had no place to go. In the end everything worked out. Real Estate is interesting!

Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent?
I have been told I am easy to talk with, not pushy, and I get the job done.
